Mission Statement
School library media centers in the Red Clay Consolidated School District are integral to student achievement. The mission of the library media program is to enrich and support the district’s curriculum while ensuring that students and staff become effective users of information and ideas. This mission is accomplished:
-
By providing and maintaining a collection of materials in a variety of formats (print, audio-visual, electronic)
-
By providing instruction to foster competence and stimulate interest in reading, viewing, and using information and ideas
-
By collaborating with other educators to design learning strategies to address state and district content curriculum standards and to meet the needs of individual students
